Paddling Posse

Welcome to the Paddling Posse! As part of our mission to increase recreational access and responsible use of our beautiful watershed, the Friends of the Shiawassee River have launched this community initiative to get people out on the water together.

The Paddling Posse is a group of community members, neighbors, and river enthusiasts who gather for organized group paddles along the Shiawassee River National Water Trail. Whether you are looking to build your paddling confidence, meet fellow outdoor lovers, or simply explore a new-to-you stretch of the river, there is a spot in the posse for you.
